Some users who are going to give PowerPoint presentation will need a good projector for displaying this presentation to people. Are you concerned about your projector? If display settings of your projector are incorrect, all your presentation may look unproductive. The standard of your performance may be compromised against your audience. So, if you want to give a truly professional PPT presentation, make sure your external device's frequency matches with basic PC settings.

Let us imagine the following scenario - you have just launched PowerPoint presentation either in "duplicate" or "mirror" mode. You should know when PowerPoint is in a "presenter" mode, a display mode will be modified to "extended" one.

How can we fix the following projector issue? This problem can be solved by a straightforward and simple registry tweak. Do not forget that mistakes with the registry can easily affect the whole system. So, every time you manipulate with registry entries, it is recommended to make a system restore point.

  • Press this button PowerPoint - Projector Issues.
  • In the dialog "Run" you have to put "Redirect" in order to open "Registry Editor".

  • Registry Editor has a pane. You should navigate in the left side of it: [Account Name]_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\PowerPoint
  • Now you must highlight the key "PowerPoint" and move to the right side of the window. Right pane has a black space where you have to click. PowerPoint - Projector Issues 2
  • Select the following options "New" and then "DWORD Value". DWORD has been newly made. Rename it as "Restore Technology". Click twice and you will get this window: PowerPoint - Projector Issues 3
  • "Value Data" should be changed to "1" - click "Ok".
  • To activate all done changed and reboot the machine you should close "Registry Editor".
